2014 Bérêche et Fils ‘Campania Remensis’

I hesitate to name this family-run Champagne house as my favorite, but their bottlings never cease to amaze, especially considering the quality-to-price ratio. This, their rosé, is a vintage dated offering (2014, disgorged 2018) and is not only a beautiful salmon-pink in the glass but also extremely delicious. Elegant notes of alpine strawberry, lemon peel and grapefruit with a chalky-but-in-a-good-way base waltz across the palate, lifted by a fine mousse (the bubbles) and mouthwatering acidity.

Recommended serving size : one bottle per person.
