About Grant

Grant fell in love with wine while studying abroad in Burgundy, France in 2012. Following his return to the Pacific Northwest he began working at 21 Cellars, a local micro-winery in Tacoma, Washington. In 2014 he filled bigger shoes running the blossoming wine club and popular tasting room at Adobe Road Winery in Sonoma, California while assisting with cellar, vineyard, and marketing work. While the vineyards, beaches and car-culture of California were - and still are! - appealing, he missed the four seasons of Colorado and all the mountains have to offer. The Vineyard Wine Shop, Denver’s oldest and best independent bottle shop, was home from 2016 until 2020. Working amongst some of the brightest wine professionals in the state, Grant was inspired to delve deeper into the world of wine and successfully completed the Diploma program through the Wine and Spirits Education Trust with Fine Vintage, Ltd. in Vancouver, Canada in January 2023. Additionally, he was the go-to wine consultant for the City of Stapleton, Colorado from 2017 to 2021, primarily leading educational seminars for residents. Most recently, he led the vineyard tasting room team for Riverbench Vineyard & Winery in Santa Maria, California before leaving to travel and explore some of the most iconic wine regions of Europe in 2024. He is currently exploring opportunites for his next adventure in the wine industry. If he’s not studying, reading about, or drinking wine, you can usually find Grant on the ski slopes, reading up on classic cars, or exploring the cuisines of the world in his kitchen.
